The flow flap is a safety component of the Zelia ZLT salt electrolysis unit from manufacturer CCEI. It monitors the flow of pool water through the electrolytic cell and, when zero flow is detected (e.g. when the circulation pump is shut down), stops the supply of electrical current to the cell, thereby stopping electrolysis and chlorine production.
This function prevents overheating of the cell during operation without flow and protects the pool against the accumulation of high concentrations of chlorine at the cell. The flap is made of chemically resistant material compatible with both chlorinated and salt pool water.
The Zelia ZLT flow flap is an original spare part compatible with the entire Zelia ZLT range. In the event of a flow flap failure, immediate replacement is recommended to prevent damage to the cell or the control electronics of the salt electrolysis unit.
