The H2O COOL pH minus product is used to lower the pH value of water in a hot tub or pool. The ideal pH value when using chlorine-free and chlorine disinfection ranges between 7.0 and 7.4. If the pH deviates from this range, the effectiveness decreases and the consumption of disinfectants increases.
At an incorrect pH value (e.g. 7.6), the water becomes cloudy and algae form, and irritation of the conjunctiva and skin may occur.
