MP 030 EL is a professional medium-pressure UV sterilizer with an output of 600 W and a DN 80 connection, designed for the continuous and highly effective disinfection of pool water.
Principle of medium-pressure UV disinfection
UV disinfection is among the increasingly used technologies for treating both drinking and pool water. It works on the principle of photochemical damage to RNA, DNA, proteins, enzymes and other macromolecules. Polychromatic medium-pressure UV lamps emit radiation in the range of 185-400 nm, their intensity does not depend on temperature, and one highly effective lamp can replace up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps. This makes it possible to reduce the dimensions and increase the compactness of the device.
Combining UV with other technologies leads to high water quality, lower operating costs and chemical savings. UV radiation alone does not ensure hygienic protection (risk of secondary contamination), which is why it is combined, for example, with chlorination.
