MP 140 TS is a powerful medium-pressure UV sterilizer with an output of 3 kW and a DN 200 connection for the continuous and highly effective disinfection of large volumes of pool water.
Principle of medium-pressure UV disinfection
UV disinfection is an increasingly used technology for treating both drinking and pool water on the principle of photochemical damage to RNA, DNA, proteins, enzymes and other macromolecules. Polychromatic medium-pressure UV lamps emit radiation in the range of 185-400 nm independently of temperature, and one lamp replaces up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps.
Combining UV with other technologies leads to high water quality, lower operating costs and chemical savings. UV radiation alone does not ensure hygienic protection (risk of secondary contamination), which is why it is combined, for example, with chlorination.
