The MP 340 TS UV sterilizer ensures the hygienic protection of both pool and drinking water by means of ultraviolet radiation. Disinfection takes place on the principle of photochemical damage to RNA, DNA, proteins, enzymes and other biologically significant macromolecules, so no conventional chemical dosing devices are needed.
The polychromatic medium-pressure lamps emit radiation in the 185–400 nm band, and their intensity does not depend on temperature. One powerful lamp can replace up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps, making the device more compact. UV treatment can be combined with chlorination to rule out secondary contamination.
