The MP 340A TS medium-pressure UV sterilizer is used to disinfect both pool and drinking water by means of ultraviolet radiation. It works on the principle of photochemical damage to RNA, DNA, proteins and enzymes, thereby ensuring reliable hygienic protection without conventional chemicals.
The polychromatic medium-pressure UV lamps emit in the range of 185–400 nm and their intensity does not depend on temperature. One lamp replaces up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps, which results in smaller dimensions and greater compactness. To rule out secondary contamination, the UV technology is combined, for example, with chlorination.
