MPL 030 EL is a medium-pressure UV sterilizer with an output of 400 W and a DN 100 connection, designed for the continuous and highly effective disinfection of pool water.
Principle of medium-pressure UV disinfection
UV disinfection is an increasingly used technology for treating both drinking and pool water on the principle of photochemical damage to RNA, DNA, proteins, enzymes and other macromolecules. Polychromatic medium-pressure UV lamps emit radiation in the range of 185-400 nm, their intensity does not depend on temperature, and one lamp replaces up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps, resulting in more compact dimensions.
Combining UV with other technologies leads to high water quality, lower operating costs and chemical savings. UV radiation alone does not ensure hygienic protection (risk of secondary contamination), which is why it is combined, for example, with chlorination.
