The hydraulic body of the NEWBCC pump forms the outer casing in which the impeller rotates and where the kinetic energy of the water is converted into pressure. Mechanical damage to the body due to impact or freezing of water is the most common reason for its replacement.
The replacement body is cast from a material resistant to chlorinated and salt water and exactly matches the original dimensions of the NEWBCC series pumps. The flange holes and mounting points are identical to the original, so installation requires no piping modifications.
Replacing the body is a service operation during which we recommend simultaneously checking the condition of the impeller, the seal and the bearings. A comprehensive service of the counter-current pump at once minimizes the overall repair costs.
