The pre-filter basket is a consumable spare part of MCB and MCQ pumps that captures leaves, hair, sand and other coarse debris from the pool water before they reach the pump impeller.
Made of durable plastic with a fine mesh structure that lets water through but traps debris. Its precise dimensions ensure a perfect fit inside the pre-filter housing.
The basket must be removed and cleaned regularly (ideally once a week or according to the degree of pool contamination). If visibly damaged or deformed, replace the basket with a new one to prevent debris from entering the pump.
