The PVC-U hose tail with a 1/2″ BSP male thread and a 20 mm diameter tail serves to connect a flexible hose to the threaded port of a pool fitting or pump. The fitting combines a threaded connection to the fitting with a ribbed hose tail for secure attachment of the hose with a hose clamp.
The 20 mm tail diameter corresponds to the most widespread diameter of pool and garden hoses for pumping water. The 1/2″ BSP male thread is screwed directly into the female threaded port of a fitting, valve or filter head.
The PVC-U material is resistant to chlorinated water, UV radiation and mechanical stress when fitting the hose. The ribbed hose tail prevents the hose from slipping off even without a clamp, however for pressurized applications it is recommended to secure it with a hose clamp.
