Pipe made of PVC-U material with a 280 mm diameter is chosen where high water flows are required at an acceptable pressure load of up to 10 bar. Typical applications are the plant rooms of large pools, water parks and industrial cooling circuits.
The smooth internal surface of the pipe significantly reduces friction losses and allows the use of a smaller pump, which saves operating costs. The integrated socket at the end of each piece ensures a strong solvent-cement joint.
The 5 m length of one piece limits the number of joints in the run, thereby increasing the tightness of the entire installation. PVC-U is resistant to chlorinated water, weak acids and alkalis commonly used in pool-water treatment.
