The replacement 40 W UV-C tube is a genuine lamp for the Filtreau Pool Basic 40 W UV sterilizer. The lamp is dimensioned for a higher water flow rate compared to the 16 W model and is suitable for medium-sized pools with more intensive use.
The radiation wavelength of 253.7 nm effectively inactivates pathogens passing through the body of the sterilizer and thus reduces dependence on chlorine and other disinfecting chemicals. After approximately 9,000–10,000 operating hours, the lamp’s performance is reduced to such an extent that replacement is essential to maintain the hygienic safety of the water. Replacement does not require a service technician – basic manual dexterity is sufficient.
