The seal under the lid is a key sealing element that prevents water leakage through the upper opening of the SMG filter tank. Without a functioning seal, a pressure drop and loss of water from the entire filtration system occur.
The material is made of an elastomer resistant to chlorinated water and UV radiation and retains its elasticity even after long-term operation. The precise dimension of the part guarantees immediate seating and reliable sealing without the need for sealant.
Replacing the seal is simple – just remove the lid, take out the worn seal, and insert a new one. We recommend performing the replacement at the beginning of each season or at the first noticeable water leak from the lid.
