The O-ring under the pre-filter lid is an inconspicuous but indispensable component of every pool pump. This model is designed precisely for the S-Swim pump and ensures perfect sealing of the pre-filter chamber against atmospheric pressure.
The seal is made of EPDM rubber resistant to chlorinated water, ozone and UV radiation, while retaining its flexibility in a temperature range from 0 to 60 °C. A correctly seated and undamaged O-ring allows the pump to work at full performance without the noise caused by air being drawn in.
It is advisable to replace the seal whenever you remove the pre-filter lid – for example when cleaning the basket or during winter conservation. The cost of the seal is negligible compared to the cost of pump servicing caused by operation without a seal.
