The Shark pump lid is a transparent or solid plastic cover for the pre-filter chamber of the Shark pool pump. A correctly seated lid ensures the watertightness of the pre-filter chamber, thereby allowing the pump to draw in water without loss of suction.
The transparent version of the lid (if available) allows visual inspection of dirt in the pre-filter basket without having to remove it. A cracked or deformed lid causes a loss of vacuum and reduced pump performance.
The original Shark lid is precisely calibrated to the thread or fastening of the pump body and is made of chemically resistant plastic suitable for contact with chlorinated water. Replacement is quick and requires no professional servicing.
