The Short Reducer d40–3/4 adhesive/female thread PVC-U is a transition fitting for connecting threaded fittings (3/4″ thread) to a d40 pipe network. This combination of dimensions is typical for the discharge connection of medium-sized pool pumps or for fitting shut-off elements on a pipe route.
The PVC-U material ensures chemical resistance to chlorinated water, pool algicides and disinfectants. The d40 solvent-weld socket allows a firm joint with standard PVC adhesive.
The fitting is routinely used when building new pools as well as when renovating an older installation where a ball valve or check valve with a 3/4″ thread needs to be added to a d40 pipework.
