The Short Reducer d50–1″ adhesive/female thread PVC-U is a transition fitting for connecting pumps, filters or other equipment with a 1″ male thread to d50 plastic pipe. The 1″ thread covers many standard pool components – from pumps through heat exchangers to UV sterilisers.
The smooth d50 solvent-weld socket is fixed to the pipe with standard PVC adhesive; the female thread is sealed with PTFE tape or silicone thread. The PVC-U material is resistant to the chemical environment of pool water.
The fitting forms a transition element in situations where technological equipment with a 1″ threaded inlet or outlet needs to be connected directly to the d50 backbone pipework in the pool plant room.
