The Short Reducer d63–1 1/4 adhesive/female thread PVC-U connects the large d63 pipe network diameter with threaded fittings having a 1 1/4″ female thread. This combination is used in the hydraulics of high-performance pools where the d63 backbone pipe transitions to the inlet of a pump or filter vessel with a standard threaded connection.
The PVC-U material withstands the chemically aggressive environment of pool water, disinfectants and UV radiation. The d63 solvent-weld socket is joined with PVC adhesive for large dimensions; the thread is sealed in the standard way.
The fitting is an essential part of the assembly when connecting more powerful pumps or filters of the medium to large class to the main pipe network of the pool technology.
