Silica sand of fraction 1–4 mm is a coarser variant of filter media for sand pool filters. It is used where the filter manufacturer prescribes a coarser grain size – for example as a bottom protective layer beneath finer filter sand or in special filters with coarser screens.
The package contains 25 kg of washed silica sand with a precisely defined grain size of 1–4 mm. When purchasing a whole pallet, a discounted price can be arranged. A EUR pallet is charged per pallet and can be returned.
The correct sand fraction has a fundamental influence on filtration efficiency and filter service life – always follow the instructions of the filter vessel manufacturer. When replacing the media, we recommend thoroughly washing and rinsing the vessel before filling it with new sand.
