The spring of the Neptun pool light is used to lock the front cover of the luminaire in the housing body. A loosened or broken spring means the cover cannot be pressed on sufficiently, and water penetrates into the light.
The replacement spring is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel that withstands permanent immersion in chlorinated water. Replacement is simple and can be carried out during a standard service inspection of the luminaire without removing the entire housing from the pool wall.
