The Emaux skimmer suction plate is an internal hydraulic part that directs the flow of water from the pool through the floating weir into the filter basket.
A correctly seated suction plate prevents short-circuit flow along the basket and maximises the active suction area, thereby increasing the efficiency of capturing floating debris.
The part is made of a durable thermoplastic material that retains its precise shape even after years of operation in pool water.
Replacement is recommended in the event of cracking, deformation or repeated dislodging of the plate from its original seating in the skimmer housing.
