The threaded reducer 1½” × 2″ made of white ABS plastic serves to adapt dimensionally different threaded connections in pool technology, where valves with different thread sizes need to be connected.
The transition from a 2″ female thread to a 1½” male thread (or vice versa) covers the most common dimensional step in pool distribution, for example when connecting a skimmer to a larger-diameter pipe or when replacing a pump from another manufacturer.
ABS material is resistant to chlorine, disinfection products and mechanical stress. The white finish is aesthetically consistent with the other pool components and allows visual inspection of the cleanliness of the joint.
