The union nut is a connecting element that allows the ball valve to be removed without cutting the piping. It is essential wherever you require easy valve replacement during servicing without permanently altering the pipe system.
The nut is made of PVC-U resistant to chlorinated and salt water and suitable for glued joints with pipes of 50 mm diameter. The thread matches the 140050S valve standard, so installation is trouble-free.
During installation we recommend using PTFE tape or a suitable sealing compound for threaded joints in pool installations. Regular checking of the nut’s tightness, especially after winter shutdown, will extend the service life of the entire joint.
