The Meytec calibration solution is a specially prepared reference liquid intended for the calibration of the GT-500S digital salinity tester. Regular calibration is essential for maintaining measurement accuracy, because the sensors of testers may deviate from reference values over time.
The solution is precisely standardised to a defined salinity value, so the calibration procedure is simple and repeatable even without laboratory facilities. The 60 ml packaging is sufficient for an entire season of regular calibration and can be stored at room temperature.
A correctly calibrated tester is key to the efficient operation of salt electrolysis – accurate salinity values ensure correct chlorine production and protect the electrolyser from damage caused by excessive or insufficient salinity. We recommend carrying out calibration at the beginning of the season and after each longer storage of the tester.
