The upper part of the Bilbao d400 filter tank is a hemispherical plastic moulding with an integrated central port for mounting a six-way filter valve. The 400 mm diameter places this tank in the category of smaller filters for residential pools up to approximately 50 m³. The proper function of the upper part is a condition for the tightness of the entire tank at an operating pressure of 1.5–3 bar. Cracking caused by frost or a fall is the most common reason for replacement. The original replacement part guarantees precise dimensions for the joint with the lower part and the correct seating of the six-way valve. Replacement is carried out after draining the filter tank and removing the filter sand.
