The large d140 diameter places increased demands on the precision of the seal, which is why the EPDM material is chosen with regard to long-term elasticity and resistance to deformation under pressure. The even seating under the flange collar eliminates leaks even with repeated tightening of the joint.
The gasket is suitable for pressure systems operating with chlorinated as well as salt water. It is recommended to replace it every time the flange joint is dismantled to maintain the reliability of the entire piping system.
