The slinger ring is a protective element located on the pump shaft between the hydraulic and motor sections. Its task is to catch water droplets and deflect splashes away from the electric motor bearings, which are sensitive to moisture.
A damaged or missing slinger ring leads to moisture penetrating into the motor section, accelerates bearing corrosion and can cause premature pump failure. Replacement with an original Emaux SS part is a preventive measure at a very low price.
The ring is fully compatible with the entire Emaux SS pump series and is made of a material resistant to chlorinated water and the temperature fluctuations of operation.
