The quartz tube is an essential component of the Elecro UV sterilizer – it forms the watertight protective sleeve of the lamp and at the same time must transmit the maximum amount of germicidal UV-C radiation into the flowing pool water.
Clouding or mechanical damage to the tube significantly reduces the effectiveness of disinfection without being obvious at first glance. Replacement of the tube is recommended whenever the UV lamp is replaced or in the event of visible clouding and deposits on the surface.
Quartz glass is highly transparent to UV-C radiation and withstands the operating temperatures and chemical environment of the pool water. The original dimensions ensure a precise fit in the body of the Elecro sterilizer.
