The union nut is a key connecting element wherever you require the option of dismantling the pump without permanent intervention in the piping system. With NEWBCC counter-current units, this function is particularly valuable during seasonal maintenance or service.
The nut is made of PVC resistant to chlorinated and salt water. The thread and dimensions exactly match the hydraulic body of NEWBCC pumps, so installation is trouble-free. Tightening the nut by hand or with a lever wrench ensures sufficient tightness without the risk of over-tightening the plastic.
Each time the pump is dismantled, we recommend checking the condition of the nut thread and, in case of fraying or cracking, replacing it preventively. The price of the nut is negligible compared to the cost of repairing a leak caused by a damaged nut.
