The prefilter basket is a coarse filtration element that captures leaves, fibres and other coarse impurities before they enter the Emaux SS pumping unit. It prevents clogging of the impeller and extends the service life of the entire pump.
The material, resistant to chlorinated water and mechanical stress, guarantees long-term functionality even during intensive operation. The fine mesh structure of the basket captures even small impurities without significantly reducing the flow.
The basket should be cleaned once a week during the season and replaced whenever cracks or deformation are evident that would allow impurities to pass into the pump.
