The mechanical seal is a sealing element located on the pump shaft at the point of passage from the water section to the motor – it prevents water from leaking along the shaft to the bearings and winding.
The ceramic sliding surface of the seal ensures minimal friction, high resistance to abrasion, and a long service life even during continuous operation of the pump.
Water leakage at the seal is a typical symptom of wear – replacing this part prevents further damage to the bearings and motor by water.
The original ESPA seal for the IRIS, Silen I, and NOX models is precisely dimensioned for the shaft diameter and guarantees the correct sealing pressure after installation.
