The PVC-U plug with a 1¼” BSP female thread closes unused outlets on pool filters, distribution nodes or storage tanks. The 1¼” thread corresponds to d40 piping and is the dimension used for ports of medium-sized pool pumps and filters.
The PVC-U material is inert to chlorine, bromine disinfecting agents as well as acids and alkalis at concentrations typical for pool chemistry. The plug is screwed in by hand or with a wrench and sealed with PTFE tape for reliable watertightness at full operating pressure.
The 1¼” BSP dimension is an internationally standardized thread, so the plug can be used in combination with fittings from various manufacturers without the risk of incompatibility. The low weight and simple installation save time during the installation or repair of the pipe system.
