The PVC-U reducing socket with a 40 mm diameter and a 1¼” BSP female thread is designed for the permanent connection of d40 PVC piping to threaded fittings, pumps or other devices with a 1¼” male thread. The fitting belongs to the PN16 pressure class and corresponds to the standard for pool piping systems.
The 40 mm diameter with a 1¼” thread is most often used when connecting the discharge and suction piping of pool pumps or for the transition to connections of heat pumps and heat exchangers. The glue socket ensures a firm bond with d40 PVC piping without the need for additional securing elements.
The PVC-U material is resistant to corrosion, chlorinated water as well as UV radiation in the case of surface-mounted piping. The compact dimensions of the socket allow installation even in confined conditions of a technical shaft or room.
