Lid nut of the side valve of the Cantabric filter tank

The lid nut is a small but critically important part of the side six-way valve of the Cantabric filter tank. It ensures the correct tightening and tightness of the upper lid of the valve, beneath which is the switching diaphragm with its seal.

The part is made of durable engineering plastic resistant to the water pressure in the system as well as aggressive pool chemicals. If the nut comes loose or is damaged, water leaks at the valve lid, which leads to a drop in system pressure and ineffective filtration.

Replacing the lid nut is a quick repair that does not require draining the entire pool – it is enough to switch off the pump and close the inlet tap. During installation we recommend not overtightening the nut, so as not to damage the thread on the valve body.
