The short nipple male/female thread PVC d1″×1/2″ PN16 provides a transition from a 1″ BSP male thread to a 1/2″ BSP female thread. The compact shape and PN16 pressure rating predestine it for typical pool and plumbing applications.
PVC-U as a material does not lose its dimensional stability even with permanent contact with pool water and resists oxidising pool preparations. The precise threads comply with the BSP standard for firm and tight joints.
You will use it when connecting small valves, an air supply or water-quality sensors to pipework with a larger thread diameter.
