The Tangit UNI-LOCK silicone sealing thread represents a modern alternative to classic PTFE tapes and hemp sealing – one package replaces approximately 20 rolls of PTFE tape and installation is up to 45 % faster than hemp sealing.
The thread is approved for sealing drinking-water pipework, gases of classes I, II and III, and compressed air. The temperature resistance ranges from −20 °C to +130 °C, and the pressure resistance reaches up to 16 bar. DVGW certification according to EN 751-2 and DIN 30660 guarantees safe use in regulated installations.
Application is intuitive: clean and, if necessary, roughen the thread, wind the thread under tension in the direction of the thread across the grooves and tighten the joint. The advantage is immediate tightness with no curing time. One 160 m package covers approximately 400 threads of 1/2″ diameter.
Suitable for ISO 7-1 threads up to 4″ diameter – ideal for installing pool pipework and connecting pumps and fittings.
