The plug with a diameter of 2 inches made of PVC-U with an external thread is dimensioned for fitting onto the main supply or drain outlets of a pool installation, where the system needs to be hermetically sealed. Typical use includes winter conservation or temporary shutdown of a pipe branch during repairs.
The durable PVC-U material is certified for permanent contact with water and pool chemistry and, unlike metal alternatives, does not rust or become brittle. The robust construction ensures tightness even at working pressures of up to PN 16.
During installation it is recommended to use Teflon tape or sealing paste on the thread. The plug can be repeatedly fitted and removed without damaging the thread.
