How to choose the output The pump is chosen according to the pool volume and the filter tank, not by the motto "the stronger, the better". The whole water volume should pass through the filter roughly two to three times a day, so a pump of around 6–8 m³/h is usually enough for a 30 m³ pool. The flow must also match the filter tank – an oversized pump forces water through the sand too quickly and filtration gets worse. You will find the recommended flow on the filter's label or in its documentation; ready-made tank-and-pump sets are in the Filter Kit category. 230 V or 400 V Single-phase pumps (marked M in the Winner series) plug into a standard socket via a timer switch. Three-phase pumps (marked T) draw less current at the same output and are suitable where a three-phase supply is available at the equipment – typically with larger pools. Power input for the Winner series ranges from 0.55 to 2.20 kW. What to watch out for A single-speed pump always runs at full power, so it is cheaper to buy but more expensive to run than speed-controlled pumps. Install the pump below water level, or fill the pre-filter before the first start-up – running dry destroys the mechanical seal.
