Salt Chlorinators

Salt chlorinators offer over 180 items for disinfecting pool water by salt electrolysis – complete chlorinators, standalone electrolytic cells, control electronics, probes and spare parts. The brands include Innowater, Mr.Pure, Minisalt, JustSalt, Zodiac (eXO iQ, Gensalt, EcoSalt2), Fairland EasySalt, Poolsquad, Ecomatik, Zelia and Asin Aqua Salt, including Monarch/Davey cells and cells for Hayward, Bayrol and Kripsol. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, with shipping across the EU. How salt chlorination works Table salt (NaCl) is dissolved in the pool at a concentration of roughly 4–5 g/l, which is far less than sea water has. A flow cell placed after the filtration then produces active chlorine directly in the circuit by electrolysis, and after disinfecting it turns back into salt. There is no need to buy, transport or store chlorine products, and the water is gentler on skin and eyes. The output of a unit is given in grams of chlorine per hour, usually 10 to 25 g/h, and is tied to the maximum pool volume. The range includes models for up to 25 and 30 m³ for private garden pools and high-output variants for up to 100, 135 and 160 m³ for large and semi-public pools. How to choose The first criterion is pool volume, the second the degree of automation. Basic units produce chlorine according to a set output percentage and filtration time. Higher ranges have an ORP (Rx) probe, which measures the disinfecting potential of the water and regulates production itself, and integrated pH dosing – without a stable pH, chlorine from electrolysis loses effectiveness. Models such as the Innowater SMC or JustSalt NPS PRO combine both in one unit. Look at the ingress protection (IP55, IP65) according to the humidity of the plant room and at the connectivity: RS485, Modbus for integration into Loxone, or a Wi-Fi/LoRa module for remote monitoring. Practically all current units have self-cleaning reverse polarity, which removes limescale from the electrodes – in harder water this is a key parameter, because it extends the life of the cell (up to 14,000 operating hours for the Innowater range). Spare parts and maintenance The cell is a consumable part. We carry replacement cells and standalone cell bodies, EPDM seals, nuts, flow switches, probe holders and connection unions for the Mr.Pure, Zelia ZLT and EcoSalt2 ranges, as well as 200 × 45 mm cells with four plates. Separately we offer pH and ORP probes, combined probes with temperature measurement, peristaltic tubing and injection valves for dosing pumps. Probes have a limited life and count as consumables – you will find testers and measuring equipment in the category Measurement & Testing, complete dosing stations in the category Dosing Stations & Controllers, and salt and correction products in Pool Chemicals. Who this category is for The category will appeal to pool owners who want to cut down on manual chemical dosing, and to service technicians looking for a specific cell, probe or electronics for an existing unit. The shop is run by IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team – if you are unsure what to choose, we will advise from experience. We offer service companies and resellers a wholesale programme with individual pricing.
