UV Sterilizers

Over 70 UV sterilizers and spare parts for disinfecting pool water with ultraviolet light. In stock: low- and medium-pressure units from UV-C TECH, Elecro, LifeUV and Filtreau, the Quantum photocatalytic system, plus replacement UV lamps, quartz sleeves and seals. Outputs range from 16 W for small pools up to 130 W amalgam units for around 150 m³ of water, and 3 kW medium-pressure lamps for public facilities. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, and we deliver across the EU. Low-pressure or medium-pressure Low-pressure UV-C lamps have a lower power draw, a longer service life and suit family pools – the lamp emits at a wavelength that reliably inactivates microorganisms. Medium-pressure units have a higher output and a broader spectrum, which also breaks down combined chlorine (chloramines), the cause of the typical smell and eye irritation in indoor pools. That is why they are used in indoor and public pools with a heavy bather load. What UV can and cannot do UV light disinfects the water passing through the lamp at that moment, but leaves no residual effect in the water. It does not replace disinfection entirely, yet it lets you cut chemical dosing significantly. UV combined with chlorine-free products is available as a complete solution in the Chlorine-Free Treatment category; selected Elecro units come with a dosing pump included. Maintenance and spare parts A UV lamp has a limited service life, usually stated in operating hours; once it is spent it keeps glowing but loses its germicidal effect – so replace it by hours, not by whether it still lights up. The quartz sleeve that separates the lamp from the water gradually scales up and needs cleaning; we also stock it separately, along with seals and connectors. Always switch off the circuit breaker before replacing parts, and never look at a lit lamp outside the unit – UV-C radiation damages eyes and skin. Who this category is for Pool owners who want to reduce chemical use, and operators of indoor and public pools dealing with combined chlorine. You will find measuring equipment in the Measurement & Testing category. Behind the shop is IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team – if you are unsure which to choose, we will advise you from experience. For service companies and resellers we offer a wholesale programme with individual pricing.
