The PVC backing ring d50 is designed to create a demountable flanged connection on pipework with a diameter of 50 mm. The rotating collar of the flange is fitted onto the pipe or socket and, once the counter-flange is placed, tightened with bolts, creating a tight and easily demountable connection.
The PVC-U material ensures chemical resistance to chlorine, pool chemistry and other water treatment additives. The backing ring is normally used in conjunction with the flange sockets of pumps, filters and fittings for easy replacement of components without the need to intervene in the pipework.
Installation is undemanding and allows repeated dismantling and assembly of the connection without damaging the pipework. The flange is compatible with standardized PVC-U flange counterparts d50.
