The Badu Prime connection collar ring is a sealing and shaping element that is inserted into the pump’s pipe connection together with a union nut. It forms a wedge-shaped collar which, when the nut is tightened, creates a watertight joint without the need for an additional seal.
The original part from Speck Pumpen is made of a material compatible with PVC and PE pool pipework and resists pressure, temperatures and pool chemistry. Correct use of the collar ring minimises the risk of leaks during repeated disassembly and assembly of the pump.
With each replacement of the pump or pipe fitting, we recommend replacing the collar ring with a new one, because repeated tightening reduces its sealing capability.
