The drain plug is a plastic closure located on the bottom of the NEW CONTRA pool pump body. During seasonal pool winterization, it is used to completely drain residual water from the pre-filter and hydraulic housing, thereby protecting the pump from cracking caused by frost.
The plug is made of chemically resistant plastic and is fitted with a sealing element for watertight closure during operation. The threaded or quarter-turn design allows handling without tools, even in the confined space of a plant room.
In case of loss or damage to the original plug, arrange an immediate replacement with an original part, as operating the pump without the plug causes a permanent water leak from the drain opening. The original plug guarantees an exact thread and proper sealing.
