The dust ring is a small but important rubber part that seals the rotating shaft or bearing of the Espa pool pump against surrounding dust, sand and fine debris. Without this seal, rapid wear of the bearing could occur, followed by water leakage through the mechanical seal.
The part is made of rubber resistant to temperatures, oil and pool chemicals and meets the parameters of the Espa original. Installation is simple during every pump service or when replacing the mechanical seal.
We recommend replacing the ring during every overhaul of the pump – the cost of the part is minimal compared to the cost of repairing the bearing or replacing the entire pump after damage caused by dirt.
