The impeller is a rotating hydraulic component inside the volute housing of the Mr.Pump ECO pump. By rotating the impeller driven by the electric motor, a centrifugal force is created that pumps water from the suction side to the discharge side of the pump.
The part is made of highly resistant Noryl plastic or stainless steel for maximum resistance to abrasion, cavitation and pool chemicals. The precise hydraulic geometry of the blades guarantees high efficiency and quiet pump operation.
The impeller wears mainly when operating with dirty water or during cavitation caused by insufficient suction. Replacing it with an original part restores the correct flow and pressure without the need to purchase an entire new pump, thereby significantly reducing pool operating costs.
