The motor flange is a structural element of the Sena pump (type 25463) that mechanically connects the electric motor to the hydraulic housing. The seal included in the set prevents water from seeping into the motor space and protects the electrical winding from moisture damage.
The original part is precisely shaped to tolerances that ensure the correct alignment of the motor shaft and impeller axis. An imprecisely aligned pump causes increased mechanical stress on the bearings and shortens the service life of the entire pump.
We recommend replacing the flange whenever the mechanical seal is replaced or during a repair after the motor space has been flooded with water. Using the original part is a prerequisite for preserving the warranty of the Sena pump.
