The nut cap (position 10) is a small but functionally important part of the Elecro G2 heat exchanger assembly, which protects the M6 screw against corrosion, calcium deposits and possible mechanical damage during handling.
The fitted cap also gives the heat exchanger an aesthetically clean appearance and facilitates any later disassembly, because the nut neither rusts nor seizes.
The cap is made of a chemically resistant polymer material suitable for the wet pool environment.
It is advisable to have spare caps available as a consumable and to replace them whenever the screw connection is dismantled.
