The PVC cap for solvent cementing with a diameter of 16 mm and pressure class PN16 is used to permanently seal off unused sockets of fittings, branches or outlets in pool installations. Its compact size allows it to be used even in densely connected pipe systems.
Cementing into the socket of a fitting or pipe provides a firm and permanent closure that withstands an operating pressure of up to 16 bar. The PVC material is fully resistant to chlorinated water as well as standard pool chemicals.
The d16 caps are most often used to seal off measuring branches, inspection bores or unused outlets on manifolds. Their low cost makes them suitable for stocking as spares for future servicing or installation modifications.
