The PVC-U reducing socket in the glue/female-thread version with a diameter of 20 mm and a 1/2″ BSP female thread serves for the firm and permanent connection of PVC piping to threaded fittings or devices. Unlike a detachable union, this is a permanent transition, used where future disconnection is not planned.
The 1/2″ female thread allows direct screwing of a threaded element with a male thread – for example bushings, flow sensors or miniature ball valves. The glue socket is joined with d20 piping using standard PVC adhesive.
The PVC-U material is inert to chlorine, acids and alkalis, thereby ensuring durability of the joint in a pool environment. The compact dimensions of the socket allow use even in the tight spaces of a technical room.
