The hair pre-filter (pre-filter basket) is an essential component of HPS series pool pumps – it catches hair, leaves, insects and coarse dirt before they enter the pump itself and damage the impeller or clog the discharge pipework.
Regular cleaning and timely replacement of a damaged basket is the simplest and cheapest way to prevent costly pump repairs. The replacement part is an exact copy of the original component, so it fits without any modifications.
The material is resistant to chlorinated water and mechanical stress, so the basket retains its shape even with long-term use. Replacement is carried out by turning the pre-filter lid without the need for special tools.
We recommend always keeping a spare basket on hand so that a filtration outage does not interrupt pool operation during the season.
